Financial institution reference: Is he/she in good standing?
Supplier and trade contractor reference: Is he/she in good standing?
Building is their full time profession: Will they give your home their full time attention?
Offer and follow set building standards: The HBA's Homeowner Handbook, for example
Have an approved limited warranty: Is there protection from future problems?
Offer binding arbitration: Is there a pre-planned way to settle a dispute?
Carry all approriate insurance: Is your future home safe from potential problems?
Obtain continuing education in building: Does he/she know the latest information in the industry?
